Today we wrapped up our unit on mechanics with a lab practicum. The students used all their new and fun formulas to analyze the game Angry Birds. They figured out the momentum, mass, force, impulse, acceleration, velocity and more of various aspects of the game. If you would like to get into this in even more depth, a fellow by the name of Rhett Allain has done many many calculations on various parts of the game. Here is a link to a forum with bunches of articles by him.
Homework for this week is to finish up the lab work at home. Some of the questions are quite tough, so please feel free to email me if hints are needed.
There will be no recording this week since most of the class consisted of the lab practicum.
